So what a week it has been here in the US of A. Barack Obama became the first African American President in the history of the United States. This would be the first steps of true change in American domestic and foriegn policy. Right???? Wrong... Pres-Elect Big O makes a clear indication of our new foriegn policy. He picks Rahm Emanuel for Chief of Staff. Huh??? Whoo???? WTF?!?!?!? Rahm Emanuel for COS, a NeoCon for COS??? Give me a Break! I feel so betrayed as well do the 100,000's of Muslims/Arabs who voted for you.
How long will we have this bias aliance with Israel. What has Israel done for America to deserve this one sided tilt. What????? How does Barack Obama, the man who ran on the platform of "I voted against the war!" pick a guy who voted for the War. Pick a guy who voted to keep the war going so that Republicans would suffer more. Pick a guy wants war with IRAN! How long will the HOLOCAUST OF ARABS/MUSLIMS continue?!?!?!?! How f-ing long will the Iraqi's suffer with your ILLEGAL IMMORAL OCCUPATION. HOW LONG MR. OBAMA, I CALL YOU MR. CUzZ YOUR NOT MY PRESIDENT! I VOTED FOR A GUY WHO PROMISED CHANGE BUT WHAT I GOT SO FAR IS THE SAME S#IT!!!!!

This past sunday I experienced a wonderful moment on mainstream media. A moment so rare, that what's considered liberal media(CNN,MSNBC) wouldn't even dare repeat it. Colin Powell, the retired general and Secretary of State gave his endoresement of Barack Obama. Even though that was great that's not what Im talking about. I'm talking about Colin Powell's fine words of "Barak Obama is not Muslim but so what if he was".  I couldn't believe my arab/muslim ears. Did I hear what he said correctly? Was there another sentence maybe to follow like " and so what if he was, he's not going to win..." On the contrary I heard Colin Powell a Republican, once Bush's right hand millitary man defend Muslims. I'm not a big fan of Colin Powel, I know he has innocent Iraqi blood on his hands. Maybe this is his way of dealing with the guilt. Don't know but the point is isn't it about time. Isn't it about time we have someone defending us. Even Barak Obama won't dare defend us. He has to walk the Pro-Israel line. Next I want to see Keith Olberman defend us or John Stewart. Why haven't they? Are they liberal to an extent? Are they still following the Zionist run media orders? "No ARABS ON T.V." You would think there would be lots of jobs in the media for us arabs. Who else knows the culture, who else knows the mentallity? But no, not jobs in the media for us unless it's a role as a terrorist in a movie.

If anyone watch the VP debates you would now have more reason to question the choice of Palin as a candidate. What on earth was Mccain thinking? Well i guess he was thinking " I want younger, prettier and huummm??? a woman!" How do Republicans sleep at night with the fact that these 2 are the best that the republicans can offer? Not to say the Obama and Biden are the best the Dems have to offer but they are far better than their competition.
So my question why didn't Biden go after her. Most people say "well he doesn't want to look like he's talking down to a woman or attacking her". Yeah i can understand that but this is the Vice Presidency we are talking about! Not once did he bring up her stance anti-abortion stance on rape. Not once did he bring up that the criminal investigations her adminstration is facing. Why not bring up this anti-corruption spending government and show how she had for god's sake a tanning bed installed in her mansion. Why wasn't there any follow up questions on any topic?
I mean come on these are fair questions that would be ask of anyone. This is Hardball! Not some softball tosses.

The Republicans are back at their scare tatics again. A non for profit organization called the ClarionFund.org is distributing a the dvd "Obessesion, Radical Islams war with the West". This movie is filled with pure Anti-Islam propoganda. ClarionFund.org is distributing this crap to over 28 million households all strategically located in the swing states. This objective film is co-produced by an Israeli Ralph Shore. If that face alone shouldn't reflect the content of it then i suggest checking it out the 10 1 star reviews on amazon. For some odd reason this thing is has over a 4 ranking on it. Must have been spammed reviewed.
We really needed to counter these propoganda pieces. I would hope organizations like CAIR or INCA would quickly counter the attacks by publishing counter ads or even put out a commercial. Let's do something about it! Call Amazon.com and complain about the content. Better yet login and give it a gracious 1 star for it's sinister cover.

Well if any of you don't know I'm a Palestinian Muslim, born and raised in NYC and yesterday I had an interesting experience. I was out with some friends and we were hanging out at a famous lounge. We were sitting there chatting when one of my friends started talking to the manager of the place. My buddy asks the manageer where is he from and he say's Egypt. My friend then turns to me and says "oh my friend here, he's Palestinian". So as we Arabs do we exchange our respectful greetings and start to talking about what, Palestine. So he starts to talk about he used to go Philistine(let's give the land it's historical context) all the time but won't go there anymore. That when he went to Bethlahem he had the worst experience visiting the Church of Nativity.
Obviously I think to myself he must be Coptic. Now i have heard stories of how Coptics don't really like Muslims and said maybe he might be different. Boy was i wrong....
He starts going on this rant about "You Palestinians screwed up, if you were just sit tight and do what the Israelies want you within 20 years you would outnumber the Israelies..." This is not a new concept and yes it might be true but the REALITY is Israel doesn't want a one state solution. They know that it threatens their existence. Yeah we as Palestinians wouldn't mind that but we aren't the ones making the rules.
Then he starts expressing his opinion about Hamas, how we sided with these radicals and it destroyed us. From there we segway to how the Saudis are spreading Wahaibism in Egypt but giving any Egyptian 100 US dollars a month for growing a beard. HUH? I've never heard of this act of gratitude by the Saudis. Can someone point me to an article/news that would reveal it. Then he starts saying that when he was young living in Egypt there was a Muslim family that lived below them. That the Muslim women couldnt bare children so she fed the him and his 4 siblings everynight and treated them like her own. He then goes to say when he went back to visit her recently she refused to even shake his hand.
I thought for a minute am I really hearing this crap from another ARAB????????

Throughout the day i will visit google news page and browse through the main page articles. Shockingly today I came across it again and could not believe what I found on the home page. Out of all the important OP/ED pieces in the world google chose to put on it's home page was Teaching Arabic and Propaganda. A piece written by a STUDENT which criticizes Arabic Language courses in our universities for using a book that he consideres to be full of Arab propaganda. What's even more amazing that the washingpost.com would actually publish this article.
This again shows the power of the ProIsraeli groups in the U.S. We really need an organized boycott of these Anti Arab organizations and hurt their bottom lines.

I came across Alef Magazine, the premier indigenous pan-arab fashion, lifestyle and culture magazine. I have mixed feelings about this magazine. Well one being the vanity that it brings the east. The covers that i saw consists of young women staring empty at the camera,i mitating the common fashion mag covers(Vogue, Elle, etc..) we see here in the U.S. Here in the US/West I feel that these types of magazines lead to superfiscial values. These values put more pressure on our women in their already complicated lives. I would hate for these personality traits transfer over to our culture.
One aspect in which i love about the arab culture is that issues that matter the most are of topic of encompass most of our discussions. I rarely heard my mother talking about the latest trends(unless it was her gold ;) of fashion. Only time fashion really mattered the most is when my sisters got married.

I have noticed lots of sites on the net today that are self proclaimed resources on Islam. Claiming that Islam is a terrorist, violent religion.
Here's one i just found http://www.islamanazi.com/ I have concluded that most of these sites are run by Pro Israel instutions/individuals. Their sole purpose is to pursuade the Western public that Islam is Anti-West and Anti-Israel.
Through the use of these propagandist websites the people who run this sites hope and pray that their support for the only thing they care about Israel will strengthen. http://www.Memri.org is another one who's founder worked for IDF.
What really is amazing is that despite these sites criticism of Islam, Islam continues to grow in the "west" with almost 20,000 converts/reverts a year in the U.S alone.

Last Friday Tim Russert the achor from Meet The Press died of a heart attack. Tim Russert was a great host. I enjoyed watching his interviews Sunday mornings. I will say I would have loved to see him chew up Bush as he did with David Duke but again I feel the media really failed us as a nation. Regardless though may Tim rest in peace....
